• KOLD-RITE Compression Wraps are made of stretchable polyurethane foam that is saturated with 96% water based gel that cools at room temperature. The gel-imbedded wrap evaporates water to simultaneously provide moist, penetrating, cooling action and compression. Because it is water based; the wrap requires only cool water to regenerate for numerous uses.
• Through cold therapy the KOLD-RITE Compression Wraps can improve a variety of sprains, strains, tendon, joint, hematomas, arthritis, muscle and other soft tissue injuries by decreasing blood flow to the damaged area and slowing the metabolism of the surrounding tissue so it is less likely to suffer damage from swelling and constriction. Unlike with ice, you do not have to worry about tissue or cell damages due to freezing temperatures. This allows the Kold-Rite to stay flexible, resulting in both better compression and longer applications.
• KOLD-RITE removes the heat through evaporation effectively drawing the heat from deep inside the muscle tissue while the compression aids in the reduction and prevention of edema, which is a buildup of excess serious fluid between tissue cells. KOLD-RITE is extremely effective at lowering the temperature of the body by reducing the temperature of the blood close to the surface. Use as a treatment or preventative after strenuous exercise for 30 minutes intervals.
